Reflection
As I reflected upon this anniversary of the tragic events on Sept 11th 2001, I felt moved to post these thoughts in respect of those that died, those that served, and the many more who were deeply affected by those events as myself.
In Memory
On the morning of Sept 11th 2001, my country was attacked and thousands of fellow Americans lost their lives. It was the darkest day for this country in my lifetime. Yet in that dark hour when the fabric of this country was laid bare, the heart of our people shown through and it is good to the core. We responded to that crisis with strength, love, unity, and compassion. Across this land, untold thousands/millions rush to serve and donate however they could to help those that had fallen and those who were directly touched by those events. The same as we do for all people in all countries in their time of need. There was no rioting in the streets demanding death to infadels. To me that is hope. America is good because its people are good, and we the people are this country.
If you attack this country, you are attacking all of us, and you are attacking me personally. I will make no apologies for America nor for its people nor for the pride I have for the USA. Neither will I support anyone who seeks to lead this country and yet feels the need to apologize for it!
The tragedy of 09/11/2001 serves as a reminder that evil exists, and if it is not confronted and defeated then it will come to us. We should stand up against it both in defense of our own and for the sanctity of all people. Glod bless this country, its people, and especially those that serve and protect.
